Case Study: Curated Comfort

A Westport Estate with Custom Character and Reclaimed Charm

Luxury Estate Contractor in CT

Our clients came to DiMeo Construction with a clear vision: a home that blends the rustic warmth of a farmhouse with clean modern design and functional efficiency. Passionate about the outdoors, they wanted a layout that embraced indoor-outdoor living—with seamless access to porches, patios, and curated outdoor spaces.

Working alongside interior designers Liz Slutsky and Joanna Jones, we developed a project plan rooted in timeless materials and thoughtful design. Reclaimed lumber was used throughout, grounding the home in natural character. Most notably, centuries-old heart-pine floors run throughout the house, offering warmth, history, and craftsmanship.

To further elevate the connection to nature, we designed and installed custom windows and doors that flood the home with light and invite the outdoors in. The surrounding landscape, masterfully designed by Hoffman Landscapes, completes the vision—where style, sustainability, and functionality live in harmony.

The end result is a magnificent estate with a main level designed for entertaining and gathering as a family, and an upper floor offering private, cozy spaces for each family member. The expansive primary suite includes a private office with its own balcony, a large walk-in closet, and an exquisite spa-inspired bathroom. Making full use of the property, we also built a companion cottage featuring a spacious office and meeting area, along with a fully appointed guest suite—perfect for hosting with comfort and style.
