Michael DiMeo

I grew up in Boston and started working construction at the age of 14 during the summers off from school and on weekends. I always had a passion for carpentry and creating things. I went to Wentworth Institute of Technology and got a degree in Construction Management. I started DiMeo Construction in February of 2006. I started with building decks by my self for big custom home builders because it was something I could do alone. I got a reputation of building the best porches and custom decks out there and soon I hired my first carpenter.

 

Over the years as I added employees, I was able to take on bigger and better work, while maintaining the same high level of quality and control while still being personally involved in every project communicating with all my clients myself. Today my company has grown to 7 full time Carpenters and 1 project manager, which enables us to take on any size project with ease. I have always said this business is very easy, be honest, do a quality job, and take care of your employees, its that simple.

 

I truly enjoy what I do for a living and I want my client’s experience to be enjoyable and I often become friends with my clients by the end of the job. For me its not just business, it’s not about the money, I care not only about the end result but about the way to the end result and how my clients experience the ride.

Be honest, keep a good name and reputation you will always have success, do something you love, and you will never truly work a day in your life. I’ve lived and worked by that ethos and it hasn’t steered me wrong yet!
